The Phenikaa Smart University Suburban Project has been piloted and deployed with the extensive cooperation of 3 parties in a multi-stage process. With the above infrastructure and advanced equipment, the project will turn Phenikaa University campus into the first smart and innovative micro-city in Vietnam with many 4.0 technology products such as digital maps, autonomous vehicles, intelligent robots, cameras, flying devices (drones), virtual reality devices (XR/VR), devices using artificial intelligence (AI), etc. As a result, the University's activities Phenikaa learning will be converted to digital platforms, comprehensively changing the management and operation of facilities.
n this project, Phenikaa University and Phenikaa-X will provide technology products based on artificial intelligence (AI) such as digital maps, autonomous vehicles, intelligent robots as well as support solutions. Assist in the management and operation of facilities such as schools, buildings, hospitals, libraries, smart traffic, parking areas, etc.
Project implementation infrastructure - Phenikaa University campus - is located in Yen Nghia ward, Ha Dong district with an area of 14ha. Phenikaa University is currently one of the universities with the most modern facilities in Hanoi, with multimedia classrooms, modern practice/laboratory rooms, and inspirational outdoor learning spaces. , fully-equipped dormitory, sports complex, multi-purpose gymnasium..., especially suitable for smart sub-urban development according to the project's requirements. Project development at Phenikaa University also creates conditions for startups to experiment with the latest technologies, students have the ability to practice high-speed transmission devices, thereby attracting talents and training employees. wealth for the future.
In this cooperation, Viettel Networks will deploy 5G connectivity and edge computing infrastructure (Mobile Edge Computing), Qualcomm provides chips and modules to connect to 5G networks. The 5G network will cover the entire Phenikaa University campus on both 2600MHz and mmWave bands, allowing users to access the Internet with transmission speeds of up to 1Gbps. Thus, after successful testing at Viettel Innovation Lab in August 2021, Phenikaa University will be the first practical place in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to deploy 5G networks simultaneously on both 2600MHz and mmWave bands. 26GHz.
In addition, Viettel Networks and Qualcomm will support Phenikaa-X in R&D work to research and test new products, promote the development of the project of building solutions and smart urban applications "Make" -in-Vietnam” in the future
