Phenikaa Natural TrueCircadian lighting technology is researched and developed by a team of scientists from Phenikaa University, engineers from Phenikaa Electronics Joint Stock Company and lighting experts from Phenikaa Group. The history of LED lighting technology in the world has gone through two stages: the stage of perfecting the technology, reducing the production cost of LED chips (from 1990-2010); stage of improving efficiency, raising production scale and intelligent control (from 2011-2018), to enter phase 3, the stage of competition in light quality. Requirements for LED light sources are now not only energy efficient, but also high quality: have a color rendering factor of CRI 90 and higher instead of CRI 80 like conventional LEDs; capable of faithfully and vividly reflecting colors, especially the R9 index (with an R9 index > 45 compared to a negative R9 value or close to zero in conventional lamps). The breakthrough point in Phenikaa natural lighting technology is the successful design and manufacture of a blue-green LED chip (Cyan LED) that emits in the 460-500 nm wavelength region (Patent No. 29668 in 2021). . This is also the region of circadian light (Melanopic light) absorbed by photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGC) - cells that regulate human circadian rhythms. The manufacture of blue-green LED chips has solved one of the limitations that have existed for many years in the light spectrum of conventional LEDs, which is the concave region in the wavelength range of 460-500 nm - the cause main reduction in the light quality index of light sources - enabling LEDs with a higher color rendering index, more flexible color temperature adjustment, a high and distinctive R9 color index The light spectrum matches the circadian rhythm (with high M/P biological light index), helps maintain a healthy body, optimal for visual and non-visual perception.
